About dosh

‘dosh’ wants people with a learning disability to be treated equally. We help people to be more independent and have more control of their own money.

‘dosh’ Financial Advocates are trained to help people make choices with their money. An advocate takes time to get to know you and works in partnership with your circle of support.

‘dosh’ supports people in a person-centred way. It may be you or your circle of support need help and a series of ‘tools,’ like budgets or money plans. Sometimes people will need a little more help and ‘dosh’ may be asked to take part in making a “best interest decision.”

‘dosh’ can also act as your Court Appointed Deputy for your financial matters.

‘dosh’ is set up as a not-for-profit company. This means that all money earned by the company is used to run the business and provide good quality financial support to people with a learning disability.
